    • 17 September 2018 - Employer Interim Reconciliation Submissions
      The Employer Interim Reconciliation submission period is open from 17 September until?31 October 2018. During the Interim Reconciliation submission period, employers are required to submit an Employer Reconciliation Declaration (EMP501) and an interim Employee Income Tax Certificate [IRP5/IT3(a)s] for the six month period - 1 March to 31 August 2018. The interim IRP5/IT3(a)s must not be issued to an employee, unless it is a final certificate (where the employee has left the service of the employer or the employer ceased to be an employer on or before 31 August 2018).?Read more on the changes.

    • 01 June? 2018 - 2018 Annual Employer Reconciliation (1 March 2017 – 28 February 2018)
      You are kindly advised that the deadline for the Pay-As-You-Earn (PAYE) Employer Annual Reconciliations submissions for the period 1 March 2017 – 28 February 2018 to SARS, confirming or correcting payroll tax amounts which were declared in respect of the 2017/2018 tax period has now closed as at 31 May 2018. Your submissions are late and should be submitted without any further delay as you may be liable for penalties.

    What is it?

    SARS has developed free software linked to eFiling called [email protected]?.

    [email protected]? was designed to help taxpayers (who are employers or payroll administrators) working with SARS to quickly, easily and conveniently manage their tax affairs.?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

    Current information must always be backed-up on your computer prior to installing the latest version, as the installation may delete your current information. Any beta test version downloaded must be uninstalled prior to installing the latest version of [email protected]?.

    e@syFile? Employer allows employers and/or payroll administrators? to:

    • Complete, submit and revise (if necessary) the Monthly Employer Declaration (EMP201)
    • Complete, submit and revise the Employer Reconciliation Declaration (EMP501)
      • The importing of tax certificates and the capturing the EMP501 can be done offline. You only go online when you are ready to submit to SARS.
    • Manage the Employer Account
    • Manage Third Party Appointments (AA88s)
    • Register employees using the Income Tax Registration (ITREG) function.

    e@syFile? Dividends Tax allows Dividends Declarants and Regulated Intermediaries to submit dividend transaction data and complete declarations offline on the computer and then send these to SARS via eFiling.

    On running the online update, some Users have reported the following errors: 1. Failing to login in successfully as the system hangs

    Do I need to tick the Employment Tax Incentive (ETI) field when completing a certificate on [email protected]? Employer?
    The ETI field is only mandatory when you have claimed ETI for the specific employee. A pop-up message will be shown, when manually capturing the certificate details for an employee who doesn't qualify for the ETI.

    Are the Employee SIC7 and SEZ codes mandatory on [email protected]? Employer?
    If you have claimed the Employment Tax Incentive (ETI), the SIC7 and the SEZ codes are mandatory and must be captured or included in your CSV import file, when completing the employee certificate details.
